Position Overview
This newly created role is at the heart of Phoenix Partners’ continued growth as we raise Fund III. The position was designed to strengthen and professionalize key functions, including fund accounting and administration, investor relations and support, treasury management, as well as regulatory compliance.
This position offers a unique long-term career progression opportunity. After a structured evaluation process and a successful expansion toward Fund IV, the selected person will be well positioned and considered for a promotion to the position of CFO of Phoenix Partners in the coming years.
Responsibilities
1. Fund Accounting and Administration
- Prepare and maintain the quarterly and annual financial statements of the funds and Phoenix Partners entities
- Budgeting and treasury management of Phoenix Partners entities
2. Investor Relations
- Produce quarterly reports
- Calculate and analyze fund performance indicators (IRR, MOIC, DPI, TVPI)
- Prepare the investor advisory committee (LPAC) materials
- Prepare the annual general meeting (AGM) package and participate in it
- Participate in investor due diligence, audits and investor compliance reviews
- Support fundraising activities
- Oversee capital calls and distributions
3. Compliance and Regulation
- Ensure compliance with the terms of the fund agreements (LPA)
- Ensure compliance with AMF requirements and adherence to ILPA practices and other regulatory bodies
- Maintain rigorous internal controls
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business administration (required)
- CPA designation (required)
- MBA or graduate degree in finance or in a related field (taxation, asset management)
Professional Experience
- 6 to 8 years of experience in finance or accounting, ideally in private equity, fund management or asset management
- Strong experience in fund administration, fund accounting and financial analysis would be an asset
- Experience in operational corporate finance (budgeting, treasury and liquidity management) desired
