About the role:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Analyst \/ Associate is part of the Investment Team at Phoenix Partners and is responsible for understanding the business and growth strategies of each investment opportunity, researching the market, financial modelling and presenting findings and recommendations for acquisition prospects to the executive team.<\/p>\n

Specifically, the Analyst \/ Associate participates in various M&A activities, including due diligence, building financial models, preparing packages, execution of the transaction, and assisting with the development and implementation of integration plans to ensure long term success.<\/p>\n

You will join a growing team in a position that requires a good understanding of finance and accounting fundamentals.<\/p>\n

Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Emphasis for this position will be on building complex financial models
\n\u2022 Research and analyze potential markets and targets
\n\u2022 Research, identify, and analyze various acquisition opportunities and document potential acquisitions
\n\u2022 Participate in the valuation of potential acquisitions and the due diligence process
\n\u2022 Review legal documentation
\n\u2022 Support and analyze performance of portfolio companies
\n\u2022 Support management in multiple tasks such as valuation, presentation to the investment committee, etc.
\n\u2022 Support management in various special projects<\/p>\n

Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in investment, private equity, investment banking or M&A advisory
\n\u2022 CPA, CFA, and\/or CBV designation an asset
\n\u2022 Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or other related programs
\n\u2022 Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
\n\u2022 Strong financial modelling skills
\n\u2022 Ability to work in a team and adapt to a changing environment
\n\u2022 Excellent knowledge of financial and accounting fundamentals
\n\u2022 Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French<\/p>\n
